Giants release 2007 schedule

Because the Giants will undeinably start racking up meaningless, we'll try to keep our Giants coverage limited to important stuff, most notably, next year.

Most importantly, the 2007 schedule came out (pdf). Highlights obviously are the weekend series at PacBell/SBC/ATT against the Yankees (June 21, 22, 23) and a weekend series at Fenway Park (June 15, 16, 17).

Yes, the Giants did win last night. Matt Morris pitched surprisingly well and Moises Alou provided the winning blow, a two run walk off shot.

Back to next year, early word this morning is that Bonds fully intends to be back next year.

"Barry's going to play in 2007," Jeff Borris of Beverly Hills Sports Council told the paper on Tuesday. "I've had many discussions with Barry and he's going to play. My intentions are to see to it he's in a big-league uniform next season. Those are my marching orders."

Contract talks with the Giants could begin next week.
